Report: Westchester DA closes Trump probe without bringing charges

The Westchester County District Attorney’s office has quietly concluded its criminal investigation into the Trump Organization and opted not to bring any charges.

The investigation was to determine if the former president’s family business illegally misled authorities regarding the value of the Trump National Golf Club Westchester, which would result in lower property taxes. According to a Business Insider report sourced from an unnamed “person familiar with the investigation,” Elliott Jacobson, a special prosecutor hired by Rocah, stepped down from his job late last year after determining the evidence collected in the investigation would not support criminal charges because they occurred outside the statute of limitations or overlapped with investigations conducted by other law enforcement agencies.

District Attorney Mimi Rocah closed the investigation earlier this month but did not make a formal announcement of her decision.
