White Plains bowling alley undergoes redesign
International bowling center operator Bowlmor AMF will renovate AMF White Plains Lanes, turning it into a three-floor bowling and entertainment center.
Bowlmor AMF was created in 2013 following the merger of Bowlmor, a bowling and entertainment company, and AMF Bowling Worldwide. The White Plains bowling alley, at 47 Tarrytown Road, is the first in Westchester for Bowlmor, which has three locations in Manhattan and one in Norwalk.
Bowlmor White Plains is expected to reopen in March with 56 lanes divided between two floors and a redesigned interior that caters to beginner and professional bowlers, gamers, diners and adults on a night out. The renovation includes the addition of an arcade on the main floor, three bars serving signature cocktails, a fireside lounge, a DJ booth and a full kitchen cooking a menu created by Ed Porter, winner of Food Network”™s “Guy”™s Grocery Games.”
Bowlmor also has an in-house event staff to produce group events and parties for corporations, adults and children.
