Public hearing set for Pace consolidation project
The Mount Pleasant Planning Board scheduled the first public hearing for Pace University”™s plans to consolidate its Pleasantville and Briarcliff campuses.
The planning board, which met April 4, set the public hearing for May 2. Pace must obtain site plan approval before it proceeds with the project, which would see the college sell its 35-acre Briarcliff campus and move everything to its Pleasantville campus.
The town board recently approved zoning changes to allow the project to go forward.
The project would include building two student residences, a new athletic field and athletic field house and a new commons area.
Pace expects the project to take five to eight years.
