Dutchess County firm wins New York construction industry award

Kirchhoff-Consigli Construction Management in Pleasant Valley recently was honored by the Associated General Contractors of New York State for the firm”™s renovation project at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park.

The Dutchess County general contractor received the 2014 Jeffrey J. Zogg Build New York Award for the first major renovation of the library and museum since 1972. Completed in two phases, the project preserved the building”™s historic appearance while bringing its archives and museum up to the National Archives”™ standards for the long-term preservation of its historic collections.

The Build New York Award honors leading construction projects and recognizes exceptional skill, imagination and innovative problem solving, as well as the meaningful impact the projects have on their local communities.

Architect for the Hyde Park project was EYP Architecture & Engineering of Albany.
