According to Westchester County Tourism and Film, “more than 160 feature films have been filmed in Westchester since 1965, plus many television series, commercials and music videos.”

It’s easy to see why — an eager film office; varied locations; and close proximity to New York City, one of the entertainment capitals of the world.

According to the county, productions filming in Westchester in 2022 and 2023 included “The Crowded Room” (Apple TV+); “FBI: Most Wanted” (CBS); “Feud: Capote vs. The Swan” (FX, Hulu); “The Gilded Age” (HBO); “The Girls on the Bus” (HBO); “Leave the World Behind” (Netflix); “Life and Beth” (Hulu); “Maestro” (Netflix); “Poker Face” (Peacock); “Succession” (HBO); “Severance” (Apple TV+); and “The White House Plumbers” (HBO).
That resulted in a 2023 economic impact of $622.4 million, with  2,053 jobs supported.

Over multiple days in the fall and winter, Wartburg welcomed the cast and crew, including stars Dylan McDermott, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Roxy Sternberg, along with more than 100 crew members and extras ,as they tranformed the 34-acre campus into a multi-location set.

“Wartburg’s ability to offer a blend of modern and historic architecture, coupled with our expansive green spaces, has long made it an attractive location for film and photography,” said Wartburg President & CEO David J. Gentner, Ed.D. “The cast and crew of ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ were fantastic to work with, engaging respectfully with our staff and residents. It was incredible to witness the behind-the-scenes process of a television production — especially with Wartburg’s campus playing a key role in bringing their story to life.”

Offering a holistic approach to a full continuum of senior services, from independent and assisted living to rehabilitation, memory care and adult-day programs, Wartburg has also increasingly become a sought-after destination for film and TV productions. In the past year alone, the campus has hosted crews from NBC’s “Manifest,” CBS’s “Evil” and Starz’s “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.”
