Broadcast Technical Resources has reached an agreement to lease 9,159 square feet in an industrial building on Pepper Street in Monroe. Broadband Technical Resources, typically branded as “BTR” is a division of ITG Communications, a Tennessee-based company which provides construction, maintenance, and physical upgrade services for telecommunications infrastructure across the United States.

According to a press release issued by commercial realtors Vidal/Wettenstein of Westport, BTR will be using the space leased at 580 Pepper Street as a base for their operations installing wiring and fiber optic cables on behalf of Comcast across the entire state.

BTR’s services also include engineering support for network architecture, the physical installation of network infrastructure whether above or below ground, and the ability to handle all trenching operations.

Comcast expanded access to its Xfinity 10G Network to tens of thousands of homes in 2023, with a focus on central Connecticut. It is not clear if the Monroe location will support further work in the central region or support expansion into Fairfield County.
