Norwalk Leadership Institute wants to help area nonprofits

The Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce is seeking project proposals from nonprofits and charities in Norwalk and the surrounding region that can benefit from being the focus of the 2024-2025 Norwalk Leadership Institute’s efforts.

“For those who are unaware,” reads a message from the Chamber, “the Norwalk Leadership Institute, conducted and presented by the Chamber, is a ten-session professional development program that also serves to provide an overview of the Norwalk community, focusing on key topic areas, and featuring leaders of import in business, government, nonprofit organizations and community.”

Nonprofits that are members of the Greater Norwalk Chamber are encouraged to submit proposals for projects that can be undertaken by a group of 15-20 motivated business professionals working across four months, between October 2024 and March 2025.

“Ideally, these projects will be endeavors that can be completed in the specified amount of time with the specified amount of people; create some sort of meaningful, tangible result/solution; and foster team-building and leadership lessons along the way,” said the Chamber communication. Fully detailed proposals are not necessary for the initial application.

Submissions from nonprofit members of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce are due by September 30, and should be emailed to shannon@greaternorwalkchamber.com
