McKinsey to decamp Stamford for Darien

McKinsey & Co., one of the world’s foremost management consultation firms announced this week that it was planning to leave its offices on Harbor Point Square and relocate to new facilities at the Corbin District in Darien once it opens.

Greenwich Time reported that the consulting firm has signed a lease for 12,000 square feet within The Corbin District, a major mixed-use development in downtown Darien. The major development is expected to be completed in Summer 2026.

Almost 300 employees are based at the Stamford location.

“As consultants, our colleagues require flexibility to determine where they work based on client needs — either at the client site, co-locating at our McKinsey office, or working from home,” McKinsey officials said in a written statement to Greenwich Time. “After evaluating these needs for both colleagues and clients, we have determined that our growth is best served by moving to a new location in Darien. We’re eager to further develop our presence in Connecticut with this move.”
