Westchester expansions and appointments

Jetting to the Bahamas

Westchester County Airport averages some 32,000 commercial flights a year. Currently, all are domestic – but not for much longer.

At 8:10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, JetBlue Flight 1047, destined for Nassau, the Bahamas, is scheduled to take off, marking the airline’s first international flight to depart from the county airport.

Provident Bank to expand

Provident Bank said it plans to expand its commercial banking services to New York City.

With 36 branches across the Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey, the expansion would be the Montebello bank’s first since 2007.

The company announced it had named New York City banking veteran David Bagatelle executive vice president of Provident Bank and president of the New York City market.

NYPA, ESD appointments

Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently announced the appointment of Leecia Eve to deputy secretary for economic development and recommended Gil Quiniones to be president and CEO of the New York Power Authority.

Eve previously was senior vice president and general counsel to Empire State Development, and Quiniones is the acting president and CEO of NYPA.
