Savings bank expands

Ulster Savings Bank has opened an Orange County branch at 1229 Route 300 in the town of Newburgh.

The new branch office will offer the bank”™s full complement of banking, lending, investment, tax preparation, payroll and insurance products and services. It will be managed by Virginia F. Smith, a Newburgh town resident with more than 28 years of banking, financial sales and management experience.

“For many years, we enjoyed great success through our mortgage center in Goshen,” Ulster Savings Bank president and CEO Lisa M. Cathie said in a press release. “However, we constantly fielded questions about when we would open a branch in Orange County. Our expansion into Newburgh enhances our ability to fully serve the financial needs of individuals, families and businesses throughout Orange County.”

The Newburgh branch is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Ulster Savings Bank has more than 300 employees at its 15 branches in Ulster, Dutchess, Orange and Greene counties.
