Provident branch opens in Pine Bush

Provident Bank cut the ribbon May 15 to celebrate the opening of its new Pine Bush location at 36 Boniface Drive, showcasing a new 3,800-square-foot branch that will provide customers with additional drive-thrus and amenities inside that include a “kiddie corner,” which parents with tots in tow will appreciate.

“This new branch reinforces the bank”™s brand values of community, connection, consistency, empowerment and trust, and demonstrates how we deliver those brand values to our customers,” said George Strayton, president and CEO of Provident Bank. “We are committed to serving the community”™s banking and wealth management needs, and hope that this branch will become the financial services center of choice for the Pine Bush community.”

Strayton told Hudson Valley Business at the Boy Scouts”™ recent fundraiser at Tuxedo Golf Club, “A lot of brokers and banking institutions have gone under because of the subprime crisis, but that does not include the Hudson Valley”™s  community banks. We”™ve consistently lent money to credible buyers, and the money is there. If people are struggling with their home loans, our door is open and we do hope we can help people who are in need of assistance. We are trying to work with buyers who got caught up in the subprime buying frenzy. There is money to lend for those who qualify who are out there shopping for a home.”

Provident has 33 branches in the Hudson Valley and trades on NASDAQ under the stock symbol PBNY.
