Patriot Bank picks Perillo as CFO
Joseph D. Perillo has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Patriot National Bancorp Inc. and Patriot Bank.
Perillo was brought on by Patriot”™s board of directors on Jan. 3 as a senior executive consultant, tasked with assessing the finance department”™s processes and improving operations and internal controls; the bank credited him with being “instrumental in developing multiple earnings improvement strategies, which have already proved beneficial.”
Previously Perillo was chief accounting officer and CFO for iQor Inc., a $1.5 billion global leader in business process outsourcing. Prior to that he served at Citibank, NatWest and GreenPoint Financial.
Perillo”™s appointment is the latest step in Stamford-based Patriot”™s executive leadership rebuilding. Following the resignations of CEO Ken Neilson and his wife, COO Susan Neilson, last August, Chairman Michael Carrazza took over as CEO. In February the bank promoted Richard Muskus Jr. from executive vice president/chief lending officer to president.
