Norwalk software co. bought by FICO
For $115 million, Fair Isaac Corp. is acquiring Adeptra Ltd., a software company listing dual headquarters in Norwalk and the United Kingdom whose platform allows financial services companies to spot fraudulent activity in customer accounts and respond to minimize losses.
Minneapolis-based FICO provides a wide range of analytics technology for the financial services sector.
Adeptra was founded in London in 1996 and established its Norwalk office in 2000. The company only recently completed a renewal of its lease at 101 Merritt 7.
By contacting customers instantly using their preferred channel, Adeptra helps businesses and banks resolve important matters such as identifying whether a credit transaction is fraudulent, confirming a payment plan with a customer, or fixing customer service issues.
