Greenwich firm invests in expertise research

O’Shaughnessy Ventures announced on July 19 that it would invest in a software tool being built by pioneering Canadian researcher Nate Forster that should aid in the study of highly productive and effective CEOs to gain valuable insight into their work habits and decision-making processes.

Founded by Jim O’Shaughnessy after the success of O’Shaughnessy Asset Management, the Ventures branch of the Greenwich business is dedicated to investing in creative and innovative approaches.

“Regardless of your role or occupation, there are huge benefits to studying and learning from experts across disciplines. However, much of their knowledge remains hidden. Nate’s extensive experience working with experts and studying expertise makes him the perfect person to lead this project, and we are delighted to be able to support him over the coming months,” said founder and CEO Jim O’Shaughnessy.

The $100,000 Fellowship Grant will go to Nate Forster and directly help him and his team further the development of the analytical tools for further research.

“I’m truly humbled and honored to be part of the program,” said Forster. “My career was jumpstarted by the work of Jim and Patrick O’Shaughnessy, so it’s an incredible feeling to be recognized with a Fellowship.”
