Frontier continues to produce for Mitel

A Canadian cloud computing firm recognized Stamford-based Frontier Communications Corp. as its top revenue generating partner in the U.S. for the second time in three years.

Mitel, an Ottawa, Ontario-based provider of cloud computing solutions, has provided solutions to business customers in 28 states through Frontier Communications for the past 25 years.

Joe Vitalone, Mitel’s executive vice president for the Americas, in a statement said, “2014 results demonstrate Frontier has driven exceptional year-over-year revenue growth through our partnership, fueled by its deep technical capabilities and strong commitment to delivering great customer experiences with Mitel solutions.”

Frontier has been a top 10 Mitel partner since 2010, the companies reported, when Frontier standardized its business customers on Mitel’s voice and unified communications solutions.

“As our strong revenue shows, the Frontier partnership with Mitel is a great benefit for our companies. More important, our customers and end-users benefit from the flexible solutions and services we jointly
provide,” said Mike Daniel, Frontier’s senior vice president for carrier and customer premise equipment.

Frontier Communications announced 2014 fourth-quarter earnings last week, disclosing net income of $13.9 million on revenues of $1.33 billion. Adjusted earnings per share were 4 cents, falling short of an estimate of analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research by a penny.
