First Niagara refunds fees assessed during storm

To aid customers affected by Hurricane Sandy, First Niagara Bank is refunding fees that occurred through Oct. 31.

Specifically, the bank will refund late fees on consumer loans, lines of credit, overdraft fees and non-First Niagara ATM fees.

The relief will go to customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Eastern New York and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Additionally the bank will be offering “YouFirst Neighbor” loans through Nov. 30 in affected areas.
