UTC appoints Akhil Johri as CFO
United Technologies Corp. in New Haven recently appointed Akhil Johri as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He will assume the role Jan. 1.
Johri will serve as the leader of global financial responsibilities, financial communications and investor relations for UTC, the parent company of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in Stratford. He will report to UTC President and CEO Gregory J. Hayes.
Peter F. Longo, the corporation’s acting CFO, will take over as vice president of finance and chief financial officer for UTC Propulsion & Aerospace Systems, which includes Pratt & Whitney and UTC Aerospace Systems.
Johri served as CFO for Port Washington, N.Y.-based publicly traded Pall Corp., a filtration, separation and purification solutions company. Before joining Pall Corp., he served in various executive positions at UTC for 26 years. His most recent role was vice president of finance and chief financial officer for UTC Propulsion & Aerospace Systems. Prior to that, he led UTC’s investor relations and financial planning and analysis groups. Johri had senior financial roles at UTC Fire and Security and Carrier Corp., including 12 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region.
