Atlas Air inks luxury flight deal
Purchase-based Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. recently announced it will maintain, staff and insure a Boeing 767-200 passenger aircraft for Dallas-based MLW Air L.L.C.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Under the new CMI (crew, maintenance, insurance) agreement, Atlas Air will operate MLW Air’s all-first class, 102-seat jet. MLW”™s client list includes the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones and Beyoncé.
The move expands Atlas Air’s CMI service program and its current 767 aircraft efforts into very high-end passenger transport. Atlas Air currently operates 10 Boeing 767s, including three passenger aircraft and seven freighters.

MLW Air’s Boeing 767 is the only all first-class 767 commercial charter aircraft with worldwide operations registered with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Besides the 767s, Atlas Air”™s fleet includes two VIP-configured Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft, 37 Boeing 747 freighters and a recently acquired Boeing 777 freighter. The company dates to 1992 and now flies to more than 100 cities globally. Regionally it flies from Kennedy International Airport.
