Woodstock Film Festival to host free Kingston screening of Rosa Parks documentary
The Woodstock Film Festival will present a free screening of the acclaimed documentary “The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks” on Feb. 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ulster County Performing Arts Center in Kingston.
The screening is presented in collaboration with Black History Month Kingston and with support from Radio Kingston and will be followed by an in-person Q&A with the film”™s director Yoruba Richen. The film is based on the best-selling biography by Jeanne Theoharis and takes a deeper dive into the multiple groundbreaking actions spearheaded by Rosa Parks throughout the course of the civil rights movement.
