Stew Leonard’s builds sled run from Tuesday’s snowfall
From the department of lemons-into-lemonade: Norwalk food retailer Stew Leonard”™s found a distinctive solution to handling the excessive snowfall left behind from Tuesday”™s storm by creating a free sled run for customers.
Dubbed “Mount Stew,” the new attraction is billed by the store as “1,200 tons of snow, 100 feet long, 12 feet tall (and) 40 feet wide.” President and CEO Stew Leonard Jr. took to the company”™s Facebook page to show himself in a not-quite-Olympian descent down the sled run, which is across from the 100 Westport Ave. supermarket.
The store also added in a press statement, “While Mount Stew is not staffed, local children are of course welcome to take a spin down Mount Stew.”
