Netflix to shoot Christmas film in New Canaan

New Canaan will be home to a Hollywood production of the Christmas-themed Netflix film “The Noel Diary.”

According to a report in the NewCanaanite.com blog, a film crew will be shooting scenes at a home on Wydendown Road this month and will return to Main Street from June 27-28.

Main Street will be dressed to reflect the film”™s holiday season setting and the shoot will take place overnight.

“The Noel Diary” stars Justin Hartley, Bonnie Bedelia and Treat Williams in a drama about a writer who discovers unexpected surprises about his family”™s history while settling his late mother”™s estate. The film is scheduled for release next year.
