Fairfield’s GoodWorks Entertainment Group acquires Hartford’s Infinity Music Hall

Fairfield”™s GoodWorks Entertainment Group, a full-service live-entertainment company, has acquired Infinity Music Hall’s Hartford and Norfolk locations.

infinity hall GoodWorks EntertainmentWith the deal, whose financial terms were not disclosed, GoodWorks now books talent at 10 regional venues, including Fairfield Theatre Co. and The Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport.

The Infinity acquisition represents GoodWorks”™ first venture into owning and operating a concert venue. The company said it now has the potential of producing 600 shows a year statewide. A portion of each show”™s proceeds will be donated to a charity.

Infinity first opened in Norfolk in 2008, with the Hartford venue opening in 2014, underwritten in part by $1.8 million in state taxpayer-backed funds.

Owner Tom Hincks said he began seeking a buyer about a year ago, having found it increasingly difficult to divide his time between running the two venues and overseeing his software firm, Farmington”™s Data Management Inc.
