Art meets ale with the Hudson River Museum’s ‘Beers and Bierstadt’

Yonkers’ Hudson River Museum is celebrating the start of the Oktoberfest season with “Beers and Bierstadt,” a unique mix of art and microbrews.

The Sept. 29 event will call attention to the final days of the museum’s exhibition “The Bierstadt Brothers: Painting and Photography” and to the output of four Westchester breweries –Alternative Medicine Brewing Co., Simple Motive Brewing Co., Soul Brewing Co. and Yonkers Brewing Co. The museum’s HRM Courtyard will host tastings and beer for sale and micro gallery tours will be led by Laura Vookles, chairwoman of the curatorial department.

This event will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is limited to guests aged 21 and older (with valid ID). Tickets are $20 for members $15 for non-members and $10 for designated drivers. More information is on the museum’s website.
