Fairfield Farmers Market returns on June 11

The Fairfield Farmers Market will be returning this summer to town, beginning on June 11.

The market will be held every Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., rain or shine, on Sherman Green. More than 30 local farms and small batch food producers will be selling their fruits and vegetables, and other vendors will offer meat, eggs, fish, baked goods, bread, salami, honey, sweet treats, CBD products and more. Live music will be part of the offering twice monthly.

The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department oversees the market. In addition to the Town-run market, Fairfield has the independently operated Greenfield Hill Farmers Market located at 65 Hillside Road which runs every Saturday through Oct. 28.

“Fairfield is lucky to have two farmers markets that support local farmers and small businesses and help provide local and fresh options to our residents,” said First Selectwoman Brenda L. Kupchick.
