Aspetuck Land Trust, the nonprofit that has preserved more than 1,800 acres of land primarily in Easton, Weston, Fairfield and Westport, has added four new members to its board of directors. They are Tracy Pennoyer of Weston, Joe Schnierlein of Norwalk, Maria Dempsey of Weston and Robert McHugh of Fairfield.
The board consists of 20 members, four of whom are residents of Easton, four who live in Fairfield, four who live in Weston, and four who reside in Westport. The remaining four directors do not have any residency requirement.
The land trust maintains 45 nature preserves that are open to the public. It provides a variety of programs, such as educational hikes for adults and families, a Junior Ranger program and a natural playground for children.
