The state Bond Commission has approved nearly $30 million in funding for 10 companies, including three in Fairfield County. Made via the Economic and Manufacturing Assistance Act, the bond funding is part of a total $351.7 million the commission approved for 41 different categories of requests.
Included in the new bond funding is:
Ӣ $4.5 million for equipment for expansion of LogicSource, a business management consultancy in Norwalk, which will retain 54 jobs and create up to 100 new jobs;
Ӣ $500,000 for equipment and leasehold improvements at Inspira Marketing Group in Norwalk, which will retain 39 jobs and create 22 new jobs.; and
Ӣ $678,600 to Bridgeport-based burial services firm Norwalk-Wilbert Vault Co. to help implement its relocation to and consolidation of facilities in Watertown. That company will retain 37 jobs.
All told, the Bond Commission said the latest round of funding would result in the creation of 851 jobs and the retention of 986 jobs.
It also approved $4.85 million to continue funding CTNext programs through Connecticut Innovations.
