Metropolitan Transportation Authority Chairman and CEO Thomas Prendergast will discuss the MTA”™s new five-year, $30 billion capital program as featured speaker this month at The Business Council of Westchester”™s Political Leadership Series breakfast.
The presentation will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. July 15 in the fifth-floor auditorium at 800 Westchester Ave. in Rye Brook.
“The growing importance of transportation to commercial and residential development, as well as the Westchester economy, makes this Political Leadership Series event extremely relevant to the county business community,” said Marsha Gordon, president and CEO of The Business Council of Westchester.
Appointed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to lead the MTA in 2013, Prendergast has spent his entire career in the public transportation sector. He previously was president of NYC Transit and began his career with the Chicago Transit Authority in 1975.
Admission is $25 for Business Council members and $30 for non-members. Continental breakfast will be served.
