The second annual “Connections For Success” summit, an event aimed at providing guidance to small business owners and entrepreneurs, is scheduled for later this month.
The event, hosted by the Westchester County African American Advisory Board, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 22 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown.
The focus will be on using technology and social media for career advancement, particularly for women and minorities. Monique L. Nelson, chair and CEO of UniWorld Group Inc., and Desiree Watson, CEO of Wellness Interactive Inc., will be the keynote speakers. There will also be panels and workshops focused on improving information technology and social media in small business and career advancement for women.
The summit is open to small businesses, nonprofits, government entities, exhibitors and vendors, private corporations and job seekers. Registration is open and can be done online here.
