CITI NAMES BUSINESS BANKING DIRECTOR
JONATHAN DEMARCO has been promoted to business banking director for New York”™s Hudson Valley Region/Westchester and Connecticut by Citi Commercial Bank. His responsibilities include managing a portfolio of commercial banking customers and providing banking services to small and mid-size companies. Based in Stamford, Conn., DeMarco will lead a team of eight relationship managers who serve clients throughout the region.

DeMarco joined Citibank in 2003 as a senior vice president and relationship manager for Citi Commercial Bank. He was responsible for managing client portfolios ranging from $25 million to $500 million. He began his career in finance at First NY Securities, first as an assistant trader and later as a proprietary trader with responsibilities for capital risk management and investment research.
TRANSPLANT SURGEON JOINS GROUP
RAFIK EL SABROUT M.D. has joined the White Plains Hospital Physician Associates Surgical Specialists, a division of the hospital aligning physicians with hospital services.
El Sabrout received his medical degree from the Cairo University Medical School in Egypt where he also completed a Ph.D. in surgery. He then completed fellowship training at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow, United Kingdom, followed by additional fellowship training in immunology and organ transplantation at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston.
He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and has served as the principal investigator and co-investigator on numerous clinical studies. His research has been published in scholarly publications.
Most recently, El Sabrout was an attending surgeon and associate professor of surgery at the New York Medical College, where he also served as the director of both the kidney and pancreas transplantation programs.
ADDITION TO WHITE PLAINS MEDICAL ASSOCIATES
DR. JANA I. PREIS, a board-certified physician trained in internal medicine and infectious diseases, has joined the practice of Drs. Barry D. Wenglin and Gary A. Zeitlin of White Plains Medical Associates P.C. Preis will see patients in the White Plains office and at White Plains Hospital.
She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completed a residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and a fellowship in infectious disease and hospital epidemiology at the Yale University School of Medicine, where she also taught. Preis is the assistant director of infectious diseases at the Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at SUNY Downstate School of Medicine. Her particular clinical and research expertise is in the area of transplant infections and infectious disease processes in immunocompromised patients.
SOCIAL WORKER AWARDED FELLOWSHIP
SHERRY SATURNO of Tarrytown has been awarded a National Social Work Leadership in Palliative and End of Life Care Fellowship at New York University Silver School of Social Work.
Saturno, who works as a New York program director for Beacon Health Strategies, will be researching health care solutions and services for the elderly and chronically ill through 2015.
She is a Stanford University Certified Project Manager and holds master”™s degrees from Columbia and Long Island universities. In 2012, Saturno was named the Social Worker of the Year for the State of New York by the National Association of Social Workers, as well as a 40Under40 Rising Star by The Business Council of Westchester for her work in health care.

Di Brino has an established career in office leasing and has provided hundreds of area businesses with office services. A licensed real estate broker, Di Brino formerly served as general manager at Serendipity Labs in Rye and managing director at Carr Workplaces, providing work environments for independent professionals, entrepreneurs, and home-based workers. She also worked as general manager at Regus, a manager of executive suites, virtual offices and conference-room space.

WHITE PLAINS HOSPITAL welcomed hematologist and oncologist Yael Zack M.D. of Manhattan to its group of integrated physician practices. Zack has joined White Plains Hospital Physician Associates Oncology & Hematology, a division of the hospital aligning physicians with hospital services. She will be working with Sara Sadan, director of the breast and women”™s cancer program, Anney Mannacheril and Joshua Raff, chief of oncology and hematology.
Zack received her bachelor”™s degree from Columbia University in New York City, her medical degree from New York Medical College and completed her residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She received fellowship training in medical oncology and hematology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in medical oncology and hematology.
In 2012, Zack”™s research on the genetics and biochemistry of melanoma was presented at national research conferences and most recently she published her work on promising new chemotherapeutic agents for metastatic breast cancer.
