Hostess Brands Inc. announced Nov. 15 it will close down its operations and file a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, seeking permission to close its business and sell its assets.
Workers nationwide have been on strike since Nov. 9,  which — company representatives say — has forced the company to liquidate.
The snack food company based in Texas, employs nearly 18,000 employees.
Nearly 200 employees are employed at five distribution and retail centers in Connecticut, including one in Bridgeport.
