The City of New Rochelle will receive $385,000 for its Echo Bay Shoreline Restoration from the Environmental Protection Fund for Westchester County.
The Echo Bay project, a $500 million partnership between the city and Forest City Residential Group, will provide 600 apartments, 100,000 square feet of small shop retail, 62 waterfront town homes, 42 condominiums and a 15,000 square foot community building in addition to 5+ acres of open waterfront space.
“This is excellent news,” said Mayor Noam Bramson. “The funding will assist in our efforts to restore the environmental and ecological health of Echo Bay and to stabilize the shoreline in conjunction with our overall waterfront development.”
