SUMMARY:Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County's 10th Annual Golf Outing
LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION: This milestone event brings together business and community leaders for a day where golf and philanthropy intersect in support of CLC’s mission to prepare young children for kindergarten and beyond. The all-inclusive tournament will kick off with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start and includes breakfast, golf, greens fees, on-course contests, and a luncheon reception. The 2026 outing is co-chaired by Bob Rahilly, CLC Leadership Council member, and Rob Houghton, both long-time supporters of CLC and veteran participants in the tournament. “Stanwich is such a great golf experience and getting to play a course of this caliber while supporting an organization like CLC makes this day truly special,” said Bob Rahilly. “I’ve played in this outing for many years, and what keeps me coming back is knowing that every dollar raised directly supports children and families in our community who need it most.” “This event has become a real tradition for so many of us,” said Rob Houghton. “Stanwich is a great setting, but the true heart of the day is the mission behind it. CLC makes it possible for parents to go to work knowing their children are safe and learning. That stability matters for employers, and for all of us. When parents can work, our workforce is reliable, and our entire community thrives.” Currently ranked as the #1 golf course in Connecticut by Golf Digest, The Stanwich Club has hosted numerous PGA, USGA, AJGA, and collegiate championships, and is home to the annual international invitational Farrell Tournament, featuring both men’s and women’s divisions. CLC Chief Executive Officer Monica Maccera Filppu emphasized the broader impact of the event: “This outing is about much more than a great day of golf - it’s about investing in the future of our community,” said Maccera Filppu. “The funds raised directly support CLC’s ability to provide high-quality early childhood education and wraparound services to families who rely on us. When we give children a strong start, the impact lasts a lifetime.” To register or learn more about sponsorship opportunities, visit: https://bit.ly/CLCGolf2026https://westfaironline.com/eventer/childrens-learning-centers-of-fairfield-countys-10th-annual-golf-outing/
