Early voting is often promoted as a solution to low voter turnout in the United States. But is convenience enough to increase participation, especially in local elections? Dr. Alberda discusses the limits of early voting and highlights the powerful role of electoral competition in shaping local voter turnout. Refreshments will be served. This event is co-sponsored by the Master of Public Administration program.
