DESCRIPTION: The Westchester Black Women’s Political Caucus (WBWPC), one of the most prominent and respected political organizations in Westchester County, is hosting a semi-formal Reception and Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 16, 2025, on National Bosses Day from 6 pm—11 pm at the Greentree Country Club, located at 538 Davenport Ave., New Rochelle, NY 10805. We will recognize the impact of Black women shaping legislative policies on the local, county, state, and national levels. The evening will begin with a reception at 6 pm, followed by the program starting at 7:15 pm sharp. Deborah Jenkins (First Lady of Westchester County) will receive the first Westchester Black Women’s Political Presidents Circle Award. We will acknowledge WBWPC members serving our communities in the Past, Present, and Future torch holders. For the “Past”, we celebrate our version of “the Delaney sisters,” Roberta and Joanne Robinson, from the Yonkers Chapter. We are also celebrating the “Present” Tricia Fraser from the Mount Vernon Chapter, and the award for the “Future” goes to Taylor Palmer, the Immediate Past President of the Westchester Young Democrats from the New Rochelle Chapter. Joanne Robinson-Boettcher serves on NYS\'s Peace Action Fund Board of Directors. Joanne is a Legacy Member of the Westchester Black Women\'s Political Caucus, Co-chair of Women in Westchester, and a delegate to the UN for Peace Action International. Roberta Robinson serves on the Community Advisory Board of Rockland Community Mental Health Center—Yonkers. Roberta is a Legacy Member of the Westchester Black Women\'s Political Caucus. A long-time secretary of the Hudson River Community Association and has served on numerous civic boards. . Tricia Fraser\'s political journey began at 18, when she cast her first absentee ballot as a freshman at Syracuse University during the Bill Clinton Era. Over the years, she has canvassed for local candidates throughout Westchester County, consistently dedicated to amplifying community voices. Taylor Palmer is a native New Yorker passionate about providing people with the tools and support to succeed. She is a collaborative, civic leader who is committed to fostering understanding.
