DESCRIPTION: Fall fun will be in full swing at Muscoot Farm when its Pumpkin Picking Weekend returns Saturday, Oct. 11 through Monday, Oct. 13. Families can pick their perfect pumpkins, take a hay ride, hear live music and visit the farm animals. The event is from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. A variety of pumpkins will be available for purchase; prices vary based on size. Cider doughnuts will be on sale and the farm’s concession stand will be open all weekend long. Hay rides are $5 per person, children ages three and under are free. Forms of payment accepted are cash, credit card, Venmo, and PayPal. Muscoot’s weekly Farmers Market will also be open Sunday, Oct. 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “Muscoot Farm’s Pumpkin Picking Weekend is one of Westchester County’s most beloved fall events. The event fully encompasses autumn, featuring quintessential activities like hay rides and seasonal live music, as well as culinary fall favorite: cider doughnuts. It’s a celebration that brings families and friends together to enjoy the beauty and traditions of the season.” Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Kathy O’Connor said: “The staff at Muscoot Farm take pride in creating welcoming, family-friendly events such as the Pumpkin Picking Weekend. From hay rides and games to visits with the farm animals, every detail is planned to make this event a true celebration of everything that makes fall so special.” Pumpkin picking weekend is rain or shine.
