Prior to joining the chamber, Prunty served as the executive director of CityCenter Danbury, and once served as the community service coordinator for Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton.

“We are thrilled that P.J. will be joining our organization, and believe that his local roots, work experience, and education will be tremendous assets to the chamber and its members,” said James Arconti, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors.

Arconti also cited acting President JoAnn Cueva and Director of Office Operations Amelia Anderson for their work during the transition period.

Prunty’s successor at CityCenter has yet to be named.
