Stamford-based Charter was the highest ranking regional company, coming in at No. 96 due to its $29 billion in revenue last year. Norwalk-based Xerox took the No. 162 spot with $17 billion, followed by Stamford-based Synchrony Financial at No. 185 with $15 billion, Greenwich-headquarter XPO Logistics at No. 191 with about $14.6 billion, Danbury-based Praxair at No. 275 with $10.5 billion, Norwalk’s Priceline Group at No. 268 with $10.7 billion, and Norwalk’s Frontier Communications at No. 313 with $8.89 billion.

Also on the Fortune 500 was Greenwich’s W.R. The highest ranked Connecticut company was Aetna, which took the No. 43 spot with $63 billion in revenue. However, the company’s rumblings that it may vacate its Hartford headquarters could make this year’s Fortune 500 appearance its last as a Connecticut-based corporation.
