Bridgeport Landing Development LLC, a subsidiary of the RCI Group (based in New Jersey and formerly called Resort Condominiums International), announced recently that Starbucks and Chipotle will be among the first tenants to open at Steelpointe Harbor in Bridgeport.
Bridgeport Landing Development principal Robert Christoph made the announcement.
“We are thrilled that these two great tenants are joining Steelpointe Harbor,” Christoph said in a statement. “Starbucks and Chipotle are the best operators in the country in their respective segments and we know that they will provide our residents and guests with an outstanding experience.”
Steelpointe Harbor is a 2 million-square-foot waterfront project adjacent to Interstate 95 in Bridgeport. It incorporates 82 acres and will feature more than 750,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment, a 12-screen premium theater, two hotels, 1,100 mid- and high-rise residential units, 30,000 square feet of office space and a 200-slip deepwater marina.
Bass Pro Shops announced in April it would open its first and only store in Connecticut at Steelpointe Harbor in 2015.
“This is a big win for our city,” Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch said in a statement. “They”™re joining Bass Pro as the first batch of top-notch businesses coming to Steelpointe Harbor. These companies will create good-paying jobs and will help attract even more businesses to the state”™s largest city.”
“Our leasing for Steelpointe Harbor has been heavily focused on a tenant mix of both recognizable and first-to-market retailers,” said Ferrara Jerum International partner and Steelpointe Harbor leasing consultant Douglas Jerum. “We have gained tremendous momentum in our discussions with a strategic blend of fashion, home, food and entertainment users that will deliver a diverse and appealing combination of accessible luxury to the entire region. We expect to be making several exciting announcements in the weeks and months ahead.”
