The Connecticut Department of Labor will host its second annual spring career fair at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury March 3.
The event, which is co-sponsored by Town Square Media, the city of Danbury and the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, will be held at 21 Lake Ave. Extension from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thousands are expected to attend the job fair, which will feature 25 companies looking to fill part- and full-time positions.
“Our Danbury Career Fair has become a tradition in western Connecticut, bringing together area employers and job seekers in one convenient location to explore career opportunities,” state Labor Commissioner Sharon M. Palmer said in a written statement. “This is a great recruitment opportunity for employers.”
Palmer said visitors will be able to learn about veterans’ benefits and receive a wide range of services offered by the Department of Labor. Professional résumé writers will be on site to review and critique résumés and help job seekers showcase their skills and accomplishments.
The Department of Labor will host four additional career fairs this year:
