A national pet food and supply store is poised to open at the Rye Ridge Shopping Center. Pet Valu, a specialty retailer of premium pet food and supplies, recently signed a long-term lease for the 2,800-square-foot space spot at, formerly occupied by Finch’s Drugs, which is closing at the end of the month after 65 years in business.
“When the owners of Finch’s Drugs approached us with their desire to retire it provided a rare opportunity for a specialty retailer on the main level of the shopping center,” said Erin Hinchey, leasing agent for the Rye Ridge Shopping Center, in a press release. “Pet Valu is a great complement to our shopping experience, they have a beautiful store and provide something that we did not previously offer.”
Pet Valu has more than 400 locations in the U.S. and Canada and offers more than 7,000 products, including national and nutritious brands of pet foods and treats. It has a wide selection of pet supplies purchased from more than 200 suppliers in 11 countries.
