Recognizing rising business leaders
“Rising Stars,” a joint venture program of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Orange and the Junior League of Orange County, celebrated its third year Thursday, Nov.19, at Anthony”™s Pier 9 in New Windsor, where 37 of the county”™s up and coming business leaders under the age of 40 were recognized and honored. HVBiz was media sponsor for the gala breakfast. Among the stars and more than 150 supporters:

Seventy and still kicking
Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 70th Anniversary, with the theme “A Walk Through Time,” at the Minerals Resort & Spa in Vernon, N.J., Saturday, Nov. 14. The evening paid tribute to the past seven decades, complete with member photos dating back to the 1930s. More than 160 guests attended and listened as Michael Johndrow, chamber executive director, gave the keynote address. Awards were given to members who have been with the chamber since its inception, including WVT Communications, St. Anthony Community Hospital, Seely & Durland Insurance, Parkin Pllumbing & Heating and John H. Sanford Insurance. Among the guests:
