Penske Automotive Group unveiled its new Porsche of Fairfield showroom July 10 with a red-ribbon cutting ceremony and a red-carpet welcome for the Penske RS Spyder Racing team.
According to Randall Seymore, area vice president for Penske Automotive Group, reconstruction began last fall on the existing Porsche of Fairfield building, located at 475 Commerce Drive. Since that time, the showroom has been rebuilt and enlarged.Â
“We expanded the Porsche of Fairfield showroom from its original 3,500 square feet to 14,000 square feet, giving us the ability to display nearly 30 cars indoors and making it the largest Porsche showroom in the Northeast,” said Seymore.
The new Porsche of Fairfield dealership also has added a customer lounge with food and beverage, and a boutique filled with Porsche merchandise including car models, hats, shirts and bags.Â
“It”™s the place you want to go buy a premium sports car,” said Seymore.
According to Seymour, the Porsche Club of the Connecticut Valley Region was represented and will be offered the facility to house future meetings.
In honor of the opening, Porsche of Fairfield hosted RS Spyder and Penske drivers Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas.Â
“We are very excited to open our new facility and felt it was only fitting to mark the occasion with an appearance by the state-of-the-art Porsche endurance racing machine, the RS Spyder, and its team of drivers,” said Seymore. “These guys travel around and see all different Porsche facilities and it was nice to see that they were impressed.”
