Harman renews, expands partnership with D.C.’s Kennedy Center

Harman International Industries, the Stamford-based subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., has announced the renewal and expansion of its multiyear partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

As the official “Sound of the Kennedy Center” vendor, Harman will be involved in the audio aspects of the Kennedy Center’s REACH expansion project, which will add three pavilions covering 72,000 square feet of interior space plus 4.6 acres of green space and gardens to the center’s campus. The partnership renewal will also enable Harman to continue its work within the venue’s Edward Durell Stone building.

“The cornerstone of Harman’s partnership with the Kennedy Center is our shared commitment to education and the arts, through unique programming and community engagement reaching from our nation’s capital,” said Dinesh C. Paliwal, President and CEO of Harman. “This renewal and expansion is yet another testimony to the power of partnerships and a way for technology to deepen and expand the cultural experiences that bind us.”
