Stamford-based Synchrony has announced the promotions of Brian Doubles from chief financial officer to president and Brian Wenzel Sr. from deputy chief financial officer to Doubles’ former position.
Doubles has been with the company for 21 years, including the period prior to its separation from General Electric in 2014, and has served as chief financial officer since 2009. The role of president was previously combined with the role of CEO and Margaret Keane, who served as president since February 2014 and will continue to hold her title as CEO.
Wenzel is also a 21-year veteran with Synchrony and was chief financial officer for its retail card platform for more than 12 years before becoming deputy chief financial officer last year. Wenzel stated that the company’s leadership was “focused on continued execution of our financial and growth objectives and I’m confident we are well positioned for long-term success.”
