Charlotte Reid, a teacher assistant at Elizabeth Seton’s John A. Coleman School in Yonkers, received the fourth annual St. Elizabeth Seton Children’s Foundation Education Mission Award in Honor of Sr. Marie Morris. The school held a ceremony on May 15.
The award’s namesake is a member of the Sisters of Charity of New York and volunteers at both the Coleman School’s Yonkers and White Plains campuses. She had been with the Archdiocese of New York and was executive director of the John Cardinal O’Connor School for Learning Disabled. Morris is vice chairperson of the Coleman School’s board.
Reid joined the Coleman School in 2012. Morris said, “Her demonstration of love and concern for all is obvious. Not just for our children, but for everyone with whom she works.”
