Jaffe & Asher LLP, a civil law practice headquartered in New York City, has opened a downtown White Plains office at 445 Hamilton Ave. It will be staffed by six attorneys relocating from the firm’s Manhattan office.

“Expanding the firm’s footprint into White Plains was essential for Jaffe & Asher to grow our regional presence in the area,” attorney Marshall T. Potashner said in the announcement. A commercial litigator, Potashner will be managing partner of the White Plains office. “We realized that our clients had matters in White Plains that required more of a brick and mortar presence, and the firm is thrilled to become a part of the community in Westchester County,” he said.

Founded in 1974, Jaffe & Asher’s also has offices in Paramus, New Jersey; York, Pennsylvania; Boynton Beach, Florida; Atlanta and Dallas.
