The Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA) is presenting a series of events in Greenwich in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month under the rubric “Go For Pink.”

On Oct. 6, a BCA flag-raising ceremony led by First Selectman Peter Tesel will take place at Greenwich Town Hall at 9 a.m., followed at 9:30 by a breakfast and conversation at Richards clothing store, located at 359 Greenwich Ave., with Dr. Barbara Ward, medical director, Breast Center at Greenwich Hospital.

Throughout the day, many Greenwich merchants will be donating a portion of their sales to BCA, with some extending their donation throughout the month with both in-store and online sales; the latter can be found at BCAGOFORPINK.ORG. Additional information is also available at the site.

At 5 p.m., a cocktail party, book talk and signing with breast cancer survivor and “Then Came Life” author Geralyn Lucas will take place at Terra Ristorante, located at 156 Greenwich Ave., followed by a four-course anniversary dinner with wine pairings;  a portion of the proceeds will be donated to benefit BCA. Reservations are required at 203-629-5222.
