THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY recently announced that the Cappelli family will be honored at its Diamond Casino Royale Gala with a Leadership Award in memory of Concetta and Luca Cappelli. Louis Cappelli, president and CEO of the Cappelli Organization, will be accepting the award in memory of his parents. The Cappelli Organization is a real estate firm known for multiple developments in Westchester, including the White Plains City Center and Trump Tower White Plains.

Furniture Sharehouse provides free furniture to economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in Westchester County, giving them the basic household furnishings that enable them to rebuild their lives and live with dignity. The Women of Distinction event is sponsored by the New York State Senate and showcases outstanding women living and working in the state whose contributions have greatly enriched the quality of life in their communities.

ELIZABETH STEPHENSON was recently announced as the 2013 Youth of the Year by Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGCNW). The award is the highest honor awarded by BGCNW. It is an initiative, which honors club members for developing superior leadership skills, overcoming personal challenges, achieving academic excellence and performing outstanding service to the club and the community. Stephenson is a senior at Fox Lane High School.
