Pyramid America, a poster publishing and distribution company, has moved its Westchester headquarters and warehouse operations from Yonkers to Mount Vernon. The company relocation was one of three industrial deals in the county closed in March by brokers at NAI Friedland Realty Inc. in Yonkers.
Pyramid America newly occupies 23,000 square feet of space at 80 Hartford Ave. in Mount Vernon. The company, which recently announced its partnership with Home Box Office Inc. as the cable television company”™s exclusive poster publisher, was operating at 209 Riverdale Ave. in Yonkers.
Steve Kornspun, executive vice president in Friedland”™s industrial division, represented the tenant in the transaction. His colleague Ross Schneiderman, senior executive vice president, represented the landlord, 80 Hartford L.L.C.
Kornspun teamed with broker Ryan Shay, Friedland Realty industrial specialist, in signing the New York City Opera to an 8,000-square-foot lease at 500 Nepperhan Ave., part of the former Alexander Smith Carpet Mills complex in Yonkers. The brokers represented both the tenant and the landlord, RJ Rose Realty.
In Mount Vernon, Surface Contracting Corp. leased 4,000 square feet of industrial space at 734 S. Columbus Ave. Schneiderman and Friedland industrial specialist Atanu Bhattacharjee represented both the tenant and he landlord, Richard Palmer Enterprises.
Friedland Realty office broker Steve Kaufman represented Allstate Insurance in the company”™s lease of 1,000 square feet of office space at 73-77 Bedford Road in Katonah. The landlord is Akonia Holdings L.L.C.
East Coast move for CBRE marketer
Johanna Clark has joined the Stamford, Conn., office of CBRE Group Inc. as marketing manager for the company”™s Westchester County and Fairfield County, Conn., operation.
Clark, who worked as a graphic designer and marketing team administrator in CBRE”™s Los Angeles North office, was described by Robert Caruso, CBRE”™s senior managing director in Stamford, as “a seasoned marketing and communications professional with extensive real estate experience.” She will lead a team that creates commercial real estate marketing and media campaigns that span local, national and global markets.
A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, Clark previously worked at Susan B. Anthony Real Estate in New York as a graphic designer and creative consultant on new business development and brand management.
Mack-Cali tenants recommit to Elmsford
Mack-Cali Realty Corp. signed three office tenants in the county to renewed or expanded leases in the first quarter.
Publishers Circulation Fulfillment Inc., a publications distributor, signed a 24,112-square-foot renewal at 300 Executive Boulevard, a 60,000-square-foot office/flex building in Mack-Cali”™s Cross Westchester Executive Park in Elmsford. The New Jersey-based landlord was represented in-house by Ivan Abry, senior director of leasing.
Also in the Cross Westchester park, Fabrication Enterprises Inc., a manufacturer, importer and distributor of products for physical and occupational therapy, rehabilitation, athletic training, sports medicine and home care, signed a 12,942-square-foot expansion lease.
Honeywell International Inc., the Fortune 500 aerospace technology and manufacturing giant, signed a 12,900-square-foot lease renewal at 125 Clearbrook Road in Elmsford. Neil Schorr of Long Island-based Realty Insight Group represented the tenant in the transaction. Mack-Cali was represented by Abry.
Leasing agents named in White Plains
Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) brokers Gregory V. Frisoli and Lawrence A. Ruggieri have been named exclusive leasing agents for 120 Bloomingdale Road, the former Nestle headquarters building in White Plains.
Their appointment was announced by Faros Properties L.L.C., the New York City real estate developer that last year partnered with Purchase-based Caspi Development L.L.C. to acquire the 145,000-square-foot building and six-acre property from a special servicer for $10.5 million. The new owners plan to begin luxury interior and exterior improvements to the property this year.
Frisoli and Ruggieri in January joined NGKFE as executive managing director and senior managing director, respectively, of the company”™s Greenwich, Conn. and Rye Brook offices. They previously were part of a brokerage team in the same suburban market at Cushman Wakefield Inc.
Tenants at 120 Bloomingdale Road include New York state offices, Nationwide Insurance, Byram Healthcare, Oxman Tulis Kirkpatrick Whyatt & Geiger L.L.P. and Keller Williams Realty.
Available office units range from 1,500 square feet to 25,000 square feet.
